Would you believe Vancouver, Canada? And thanks to everybody who's responded to my message - good advice all. The bike has a new tranny the owner says, so the second gear set is probably not a problem. Now he tells me he's not sure he wants to sell, call back in a couple of weeks - hey, the riding season here runs to October, after that you need a wetsuit.
