Hello John, and everyone else, Maybe I have Sh-t for luck... BUT... the first hindle I bought was a (4-2-1 old design )and had 3 unions that collected 2 pipes into 1..... all 3 of these unions leaked. The problem is where three pieces of pipe are welded together in a sleeve, and not enough attention being paid to welding these pieces together. So the end result is a union made up of three small pieces of pipe. Two pipes ALMOST welded together and the third is fine..... with this union you would think that if you sealed the ends of two of the pipes and blew into the third there would be resistance and no air could escape. WRONG !!!! when you hear air escaping and hold the piece up to the light you can see holes. well, you tell me, is there a leak in that pipe ??? All the springs in the world won't help you here. Nor will your Ultra Copper or liquid weld or muffler cement plug the hole. Now my new ( 4-2-1 NEW design ) has only 2 unions. basically the same design as the original and only one union leaks ... The first system I returned the second one is a keeper. I'll just see if Mr. L. Hindle will like to replace this one faulty union for me. All welds from the outside look fine and all pieces fit together snugly. but the person welding these unions together needs to spend a little more time on the piece before sending it to be polished. that's my experience with Hindle and I could be 1 in 1,000. thanks for listening I feel better now :~) Dennis From: John Furbur <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> so why all the goofy sh-t, about Hindle leaks??? I have installed quite a few Hindles, and sold many more, and rode with one on my 95, for over 2000 miles, with NO, that's right, NO...Did U hear me...??? NO!!! complaints about ANY leaking...and IF I would have heard any... I would have SIMPLY suggested that the individual smear a LITTLE Ultra Copper in the connections, if necessary...and it has not been, for me anyway... With the springs, to constantly tighten & snug the pipe fit, and the VERY tight fit they have to start with...??? PLEEEAAASE!!! Maybe somebody saw my pic on the back of the VBoost, and took it to be the way to check for these "leaks"...??? Or maybe the neighbor got tired of those 3 AM 'test & tune' sessions, and put the 'ole tater in the tailpipe...??? I have a new bumper sticker, on the new bus, that says " The hole in the ozone layer is directly related to the hole in your head"; maybe it is time for another sticker, in the same vein....LOL Goodnite all, and let the flames begin!
