Hi folks,

This is the second rear tyre I install on my Max and dies of the same disease. The
first one lasted for 3000 miles, but this one has developed a rubber split from side
to side far too soon on its short life, only did 700 miles on it. The other also
developed similar cracks, but the tread was already worn.

The other day I was complaining about doubtful handling even after installing the
Delrin solid mounts, but I think all my problems are bottled into this rubber tear. I
does not look too bad, but now I lost my confidence on the tyre.

As I mention on the header the tyres I use are stardard shoes for the European Max,
that is, Marathon ML2 150/90 B15 M/C 74 VTL.

I am absolutely sure this happens when I accelerate real hard while riding the bike on
the road, no burning tyres or drag strips, just hard acceleration in all gears.

I don't want to get into a tyre brand discussion, just need to contact Metzeler and
send them a couple of pics for them to evaluate and make a free exchange if necessary.
I visited their website but no E-mail found where I could send my complaint and
pictures. Does anyone know of some E-address I could contact?

If anyone has suffered this kind of problem with their Metzelers or wants to see a
picture of the tyre contact me.

Regards,
Charles ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] )
