Kraig, some people have been putting a 170 on a stock rim. Bad idea. The
tire wasn't designed for that narrow of a rim. They do have a 150 that
works well. It would be the same as putting their new 240/40-18 on a 5.5
rim. The tire holds up well to constant high speed. A friend got one of
the first and put over 13,000 miles on it. That includes Houston to Ft.
Lauderdale, FL in 15 hours, over 3,000 miles total. The tire looked like
it had maybe a couple hundred on it when he got back. The only time
Ernie is doing less than the ton is in the garage. The majority of the
time its 120 plus. Some people won't like my comments about tire
selection, thats life. They've also never drifted a max thru the turns
either and are happy going potato potato, look at me.
