That is true and there are a few fasteners on the Vmax that have
thread pitches you won't be ordering from Mc-Master Carr. If I
remember ... one is a 5x40 mm or so, (just remember it was long), hex
on the rear of the stock exhaust shrouds ...... it didn't have
standard thread pitch for a 5mm screw, (.08mm I think). I however,
actually appreciated getting the lengths of the two 4mm bolts in the
fuel bowl from the microfiche before busting the carb stack apart and
have given away a lot of 5x12s to people running 3/16 inch screws on
their slide covers .... If you own a Yamaha though this is good
information to know ... it is on the test.
