28,
I don't recall seeing anything really bad about either of these tires
.. but that doesn't mean a thing .. I am sure there is a lot that I
don't see ... I realize that Bridgestone owns Firestone etc .. and you
state no source for the bad things you have been hearing .. sooooo.
My bike came new with Qualifiers and I am currently running a
Bridgestone on the rear. The biggest thing I noticed right away about
both of these brands is that when the tread is gone they get real
slippery and I have had to replace them. I am sure you will receive
many tire opinions but I wanted to refer you to a reasonably nice tire
review site .... Martyn's Tire ... at
http://pixie.simplenet.com/motorcycles/Tyres/
This guy does tire reviews for several models of motorcycles including
the Vmax. There is a lot of good information at this site even if you
might not agree with his selections. It is definitely worth the visit.
