I too, am an advocate of "choice".  I've accumulated 32+ years of riding,
but I wouldn't even think of getting on a bike without a helmet, and that's
my choice.  But please don't expect me to pay in various ways (higher
insurance premiums, more regulations, poor image of motorcyclists, and etc.)
for other individual's "choices" when they don't come out as expected.
