I've only had my 94VMAX for a little over a month, this is the only V4
water cooled
motorcycle I have ever owned. Previous bikes where a Honda 450 twin and
a
Kawasaki KZ1000 (Z1) The bike seems fine to me but I have no previous
riding experience on another
V4 bike to compare to. What's bothering me is how "jerky" the engine
runs at low rpm, I'm
talking about under 3000 rpm. When ever I'm at that rpm the engine
almost seems like my
old Honda 450 ? Above 3000rpm the engine smoothes out fine and has
PLENTY of power.
Is this normal ? I'm dieing to get a carb sync guage and check the sync
on the carbs.....for all
I know the carbs are off a mile....... I checked at my local Yamaha
dealer and they want
$290.00 for a "total" tune-up on the MAX .... that includes checking the
cams and syncing
the carbs...along with the normal timing check ect ect ect ...
LOTS of money for a tune-up !!! I'd rather buy a sync gauage and do it
myself......my
94VMAX is completely stock ..........
