No, that was not the problem.  The packing was glass, sold in original Mossy
packaging.  All the shop did was have it on the shelf for me to buy.  The
melted parts I talked about would actually break like glass when I messed
with them.  Definitely not plastic.

Thanks for the input, any other ideas?
