I tried looking at the faq before bothering the group with this, but I
am still interested in different
opinions. I'm getting ready to replace my nearly bald rear tire,
questions:
1) My 94VMAX is completely stock, what is a good rear tire for me, I
drive the speed limit or
maybe 70-75mph on the interstate, with an occasional run thru the
gears up to errrr
130++ for a few short moments. I'm kinda leaning towars the Dunlop
K591 stock size.
My front tire is the oem Dunlop qualifer.
2) What torque do I retorque the rear axle to during reassembly ?
owners manual says: 108 ft lbs
service manual says: 85 ft lbs ??
3) Does the new rear tire need balanced (I'm thinking yes)
4) I'm starting to see why you guys are so nuts about this bike :)

I take my MAX out for a ride I get at least one person who stops me
and asks
about a thousand questions about the bike :) makes you feel kinda
warm and fuzzy
inside :)
