Here are more details on my starter: 1) The battery may very well be low at this point, as i've cranked it quite a few times 2)I doubt it's a switch prob, as juice is getting to the starter 3) what the starter does is labor mightily w/o being able to turn over A similar thing happened to my '85 Nighthawk 650 (R.I.P.) around the same mileage (~45,000). The problem then was partially worn brushes, but mainly all the brush dust that had accumulated in the starter. Once i cleaned it out & put in new bushes, all was well w/ the world. Now i have some problems tho: 1) I'm away from home with no tools 2) i have no manual for the MAx & don't even see the starter (where's it hiding? Under those metallic covers, for which i have no allen wrench to undo the bolts) 3) i just got this bike a few months ago & am not at all familiar w/ it. So what's the diagnosis? _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
