<< An oxy/acetalene (carefully) is about the only way
to go. Good luck. >>
finally got the wheel off. pulling teeth has got to be easier. after the
vote of confidence from both lists i went back more determined that i was on
to something i put as much stress on the puller as i could, then applied some
acetylene then POW she literally flew right off, didn't expect that. not one
but all three of the starter clutch screws were loose. i reassembled w/ red
loctite , no torque wrench but its on a lot tighter than before. There is an
1/16" offset between the man clutch gear and the adjoining gear that drives
it. the manual didn't show a spacer washer to shim the main gear forward, of
well.
Since the front header was off decided to open it up a little from too much
dragging. If your gonna lower your bike stay clear of the hindels not enough
clearance.
Too late for a test flight, ill be out bright and early tomorrow.
Thanks to all who helped. God bless these lists.
