It sounds like who ever put the engine back together put the seal for the
clutch pushrod assembly in backwards. A friend did the same thing and when
he got it back together it leaked oil. He had to pull the motor again to
turn the seal around.

Subject: BAD oil leak

hello guys, my buds 94 max has a (realbad) oil leak from behind the
secondary
gear cover. took the cover off and the leak seems to be coming from between
the mating suffice of the motor and the clutch release assembly. i can't see

anything else their that could leak. both allen cap bolts are tight on the
assembly. this bike has just had tranny work done about 3 months ago, so
when
he asked me to take a look see, i figured that something was loose, but not.

what seals the release assem. to the engine, gasket or O-ring? or could it
be
something else that we're missing. it's definitely motor oil, not hydraulic
fluid that's leaking. what really gets us, is his bike never leaked a drop,
and now he's got oil pouring out when the motor's running.
thanks
