Hi, I'm not writing much here but been around for a
long time...but now some words:
I have done three things with my bike this summer
that have made it better than before.
1:
The front fork have always been a week part on the
max (mine is 87 mod). Mine have always been to soft. With 10/20 grade
oil (Old grade I think was 5/10. Original I don't know.), 0.5 litres in
each leg and max air pressure (15 psi) made the fork kinda
good. Better performance on bad road and nice when two on the bike
(with ex. hard breaking).
2:
"Stage 7". I must say, mine bike has never been a
hard starter or stumbled when driving from sea level and up in the mountain (I
live in Norway). But the three hours it took me to mount the "stage 7" was
worth the money. I can't come up with one bad thing with this kit. Strong
from 3000 and up (now I can almost decide when I want to turn on and off
the oil lamp :-) ). For those that think about buying a kit: DJ175, needle
position: two down from the top, keep v-boost fully open all time (not use
the pipes) for sync possebility. Exhaust: I have Laser Pro Stock. Never
"Dynoed", but the difference was so big that I don't need to. It run's so
smooth, and I'm happy.
3:
Rear tyre: Metzeler 880: 180/80-15. No mods, just
mount as usual. Some whould probably say that the profile is wrong and it just
won't work. But honestly, I never had a better tyre. Worth trying
anyway.
These three "mods" have made by bike so much better
that all I regret is that I didn't do it before.
Regards Stian
