bought an 88 w 23k miles on it to build a trike out of
previous owner "said" he put in a new shaft and 2nd gear
drove it about 750-800 miles w no problems w tranny what so ever
i did have to do away with the rubber cushion drive in the rear wheel as I've
dove w a couple shaft drive trikes before
now the trike is complete and about 200 miles some times in 2nd it comes in
and out of gear
it doesn't seem to matter if I'm accelerating hard or just putzing along
i've tried shifting easy and hard w a lot of pressure and it doesnt matter
just wondering if this is the normal act for a BAD 2nd gear
also wondering if i decide to do it myself where can i buy the "clymer equal"?
and if not where would i send it to have the work performed dont really know
much about the local yamaha dealer
