Here's the deal on oil supply:
Idle, hot ....... minimum 5 psi. @ min. flow 0.1 gal/min.
Maximum load ...min. 25 psi @ min. flow 0.5 gal/min.
The V-max has no problem supplying, the trick is
where you tap the motor for it. Mr. Turbo has built
its business mainly supplying Draw-Through systems
for non plain bearing motors and with slight mods.
have no oil problems. As far as street ability and heat
I built my bike two years ago and used an 8.5 to 1
compression ratio foreseeing that it would run in excess
of 15 psi boost. At 15 psi the basic compression ratio
doubles and this is where detonation becomes a problem.
My bike at 6 psi boost produced 178 rear wheel hp.on
John Ganneys Dyno, I'll post the sheet with torque
curves etc. tomorrow, cool as a cucumber. Now I'm
not trying to sell anything but on the street this bike runs
no hotter than stock and not many people on Suzukis
or anything else do anything but mind their manners. Kraig if
you decide to continue the project I'll help with
questions if you would like, don't be intimidated!
read anything you can get your hands on about the
subject and you'll find that it isn't rocket science just
loads of fun.
What books have you ordered?
