Looks like we are going to have a excellent showing for Biketoberfest
. Most are showing up on Thursday
& Friday . I've organized for us to take two rides & a dinner on Friday
evening
Friday Morning Oct. 20th meet at 10:00 AM
Meet at the corner of Hwy. US1 & Commonwealth in South Daytona .
From where ever you are go to the intersection of US1 & Dunlawton Blvd
. in South Daytona .
Dunlawton is also Hwy. 421 . Heading South on I95 Dunlawton is the
second exit past Hyw 92
or Speedway . You can also reach Dunlawton by going down US1 or A1A .
It is the last bridge
going South that crosses the Intercostal Water Way .
From the intersection of Dunlawton & US1 head South on US1 or away
from Daytona .
Commonwealth is the first traffic light South of Dunlawton Blvd. on
US1. On the corner is a bar called the
" First Turn" . Our meeting place is a little strip mall & Citgo gas &
Convenient store located on the Southwest
corner of Commonwealth & Dunlawton .
The ride is about 2 hours through some back country roads & we will
end up at the the Deland Airport for
some heads up run what you brung drag racing . This is where you can let
the Hooligan out without the worries
of the cops or some car pulling out in front of you .
For those that can't make it to the ride. The Drag Races can be found
by taking Hyw 92 or Speedway out of Daytona & head towards
Deland . When you get to Deland you will come to a traffic light that is
Kepler road . A short distance
past Kepler road on Hyw. 92 you will come to a road on the right called
Marsh Road . Turn Right onto Marsh Road .
On the left you will come to a Recreational Park . Turn into the park .
You will come to a dirt road that bears to
the left . Follow the dirt road to the Airstrip .
Dinner Friday Evening Oct.20th . 6:30 PM at JB's Fishcamp in New Smyrna
Beach
Meet at the same place as the Friday Morning Ride . The corner of
Commonwealth & Dunlawton
For those that miss us Take US1 to Hyw 44 in New Smyrna Beach . Turn
left or East .
Follow it to A1A Which is a bear to the right at the Ocean . Follow
A1A all the way to the
end . JB's is on the right . Can't miss it . Good food, good service,
& weather permitting excellent
sunsets .
Saturday Morning Ride Oct. 21st. 10:00 AM
Meet at Dennys & the BP Gas station on Hwy. 92 in Daytona .
Take Hwy 92 or Speedway Blvd. leaving Daytona towards Deland.
Just when you pass under the bridge of I95 on the left will be a BP
Gas
Station, Denny's Resturant , and a Super 8 Motel all together on the
Right . That's where we'll be :)
The ride will follow Hwy.11 up to Bunnell . Taking Hwy100 over to
Flagler Beach . Follow the Beach road to Highbridge & ride through
the Tomoka State Park ending up at the Iron Horse Saloon for some
eyeballing, burnout pits, good music & remember that the first drink
is on Steve . It will be about 2.5 hrs long .
On Wendsday & Thursday Mornings between 9:30 & 10:30 AM myself & a
couple
of the local guys will be at the Shoneys Resturant at Speedway & I95 in
Daytona .
If you wish meet up with us, we will ride together & take in some of the
events .
