I guess this makes me one of the pups of the group. At 33 (bought when I was 31) I can never see me getting rid of this bike. Even after some 'person' took me out summer before last and caused 6K in damage, I still wanted to get that beast back on the road. My first look at the Max was my senior year in H.S. here in Dallas. A friend 'came across' a 85 and took me for a ride...and a wild ride it was, wheelie in 2nd in front of the school etc. I knew then and there that my LTD 550 would no longer do. The Seca 750 was cool, but it still wasn't a Max. My older brother went thru one of those mid life crisises and bought one, put 1200 miles on it and sold it to my other brother, he rode it a while and bought an R1, then I traded my 67 SS Nova for the Max and couldn't have been happier, best move I ever made, still miss my deuce and the looks it got, but I could never get the wind in my face feeling riding in a 'cage'. Then two years later the original brother bought another Max put about 1600 miles on it and sold it to the 4th brother in N.C. Two maxes and 4 brothers, can you say 'keep it in the family'? When I get to that 40+ time of my life, my max will be even better than it is today, and be a classic just like my old Nova. Enough rambling.
Ride on...
