Yamaha ties the left and right halves of the front of the frame together
through the mounts. The bottom uses the brace that the horn is attached to
and the top uses the threaded bar that goes through from side to side. And
as pointless as it may be if you just use the delrin mounts you do not have
a solid tie for the frame. While the mounts will help in the front to rear
stress the side to side flex will be greater than with the stock mounts.
Maybe this is not a problem area, I do not know. But I am convinced that
the hybrid mounts are better than stock and stronger than just delrin.
As far as the material I have you will have to ask RMS, he sells them as
Delrin.
