Dave
Glad you got the bike running OK.I've run into the fact that the DJ jets are
loose or in fact wont thread into the carb.Found out that the thread depth
is a little different and if you over torque the MK jets (seen this from the
factory on a new bike) you are screw*d when installing a kit.Not DJ's fault
but you gotta be real careful when installing not to over tighten. You live
about 60 mi from me so I can give you a little insight as to your final
setup with the stage 7 after many hours and dyno runs with a stock of jets
that would supply both DJ and MK for quite a while.Remember all bikes are
different in the final setup. At sea level in FL. and warm temps use the MK
157.5 mains or the DJ 170 (I have found that the DJ jets work better with
there kit and in fact produce better results).Needle position at 2 or 2.5
from the top.Use the 190 air jets that came with the kit (behind the
diaphrams) this helps the low end performance.Syncing the carbs is a must.I
left my vboost intact which gives a realy good idle and allows the use of
merc sticks.Last Dyno run was 126. Hope this helps. Bob H
