IMHO .. again, (and you know what that is worth) ...... I would think
that unless you are drag racing inside the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel
with an open pipe that has a 2 1/2 inch collector that you would be
happier with an absolute maximum MK157.5 or DJ170 ... When I was doing
what you were doing I had the DJ165 in first and could feel a slight
flat spot at 7500 RPM and then on to the moon as strong as good be ..
I bumped up one step to a DJ170 and it went away. I visited a local
1/4 mile track here a few weeks ago to see if I was as big a squid as
ever and picked up 1/2+ mph on my trap speed by dropping back down to
the DJ165. Yes .. I am still as big a squid as ever on this bike but
trap speeds don't lie .. they are great for finding the best main jet
and I feel confident that I made the right decision to retune to the
smaller main.
