Phil,
I think you are just looking for a free tune-up for those flatslides
!! Seriously though .. IMHO .. there are so many variables that it
would be of little value unless the same bike were used ...... I was
on Terry's site last night and noticed somebody posted a 1400cc dyno,
(the Wiesco .. sorry abt spelling pistons I think) .... Anyhow ... on
the surface it looks like "no big deal" as the 1400cc bike is maxing
out at 137 rwhp or something like that ... because right above it is
terrible Tyler's 1260 well into 140s w/ flatslides while in the PCW
shop etc ... Then ... you look at the 1400cc bike and it is pulling a
whomping 132 ftlbs of torque, (that didn't even seem possible as I
thought the average 1500cc job ran in the 120s), as opposed to the
1260 in the 90s ..... Soooooo .. I am sure there are advantages to
tune either way but what may be good for one goose may not be what the
next goose is looking for.

I think it would be helpful for many systems to advertise their
specifications ..... primary and collector diameters, weight,
available coatings, construction material, secondary modifications
required for installation .. etc ... Then the real biggie is how it
looks and sounds ... which makes actually seeing one installed and
talking to the owner who has had to live with it for the first few
months so valuable. I know how I am .. a product could be clearly
superior in all measurable categories ... but in the case of the
exhaust system if I didn't like how it looked or sounded ... it
wouldn't be going on the bike ...... and I think for most products ...
there is such a wide application/personal preference range that you
would never hardly ever be able to say "that is the best one of those"
....... I am just glad to see there are so many new choices for
available dual exhausts ... this is an improvement over a year or so
ago .....
IMHO as always ....
