I use Dot 5 fluid(and I'm not changing). I found with the -3 line the
release was a little slow, I contacted Earl's and they recommend -4 for
clutch lines. installed a -4 .what a difference the clutch releases right
away when your power shifting and normal shifting is great, it releases
where I like it and is smooth as silk.some will disagree but it works for
me, these lines have been on my bike for almost 10 years and have installed
this set-up on many maxes here with no complaints.
