I am going to brace my swingarm. It seems simple if you have access to a
pipe bender and welder. I would like to know it anyone has done this, what
type of steel they used. I was expecting to use mild steel tubing (welded
seam not seamless) with a 1.25 inch OD and .120 th. wall thickness. I would
like to keep the weight down and could use .090 th. wall thickness,or
seamless, stainless or chrome - molly.
I was also going to use 11 ga. hot rolled plate steel for notching the
swingarm and gusset plates for the frame. Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks, Paul 85 V-Max, VMOA 1161.
