Nothing to explain .... the front fender description was from a '93
microfiche ... It shows that the factory refers to the color, (at
least on 1993 - US 49 state and California models), as "dark violet
cocktail #1", (there are two shades of this stuff but #1 is used on
the Vmax). The story about the harley was real ... there is always one
in every crowd ... but discussing the color of the '93 reminded me of
the incident ... and just how perfect a match the custom paint job was
to my '93, (which made me feel alot better if I ever needed to get a
single peice or an aftermarket tail done etc).
