Just wondering because I could have bought 2000 Max used by Motorcycle Tour &
Cruiser December 2000 issue bike is on the cover and full report inside. The
bike was for sale at a dealership in Connecticut full warranty for 12mos at
8995. I did not buy it because of improper break in and lack of rubber on the
rear tire it got stuck under the fender in tiny little pieces. My suspicion
of abuse was fully confirmed by the abusive paces they put into the article
about the motor redline being to low and hittin the rev limiter often,
Bottoming the suspension(scrapes on the exhaust) of course the dealership
tried to tell me they just warm the tire slightly to get the oils off(yea
right) I am glad the dealership did tell me it was a test bike because it
stoped the checkbook quickly.
The 2000 Max I did buy was from a dealer but different circumstances and
it cost me only 8500 with extras. Tyler VMAXER2000
