The stock swingarm and rim will hold most 170s.  I am working on bracing and
notching my swingarm, actually bending the tubing tonight.  Most wider V-max
rims typically 17x5.5 or 17x6.0 have approximately 10mm offset to the right
for shaft drive bikes.  Paul, 85 V-max, VMOA 1141.
