Here are some issues with Math.tanh.
This provides a bit more detail than the info in
https://code.google.com/p/v8/issues/detail?id=3266.
Math.tanh(1e-50) -> 0
Should be 1e-50 since tanh(x) ~ x for small x
Math.tanh(1000) -> NaN
Should be 1 since |tanh(x)| <= 1 for all finite x and tanh(x) -> 1 as x ->
infinity.
