Hmmm, this sounds really strange... Could you do a "make ia32.release V=1"
first, let it run into the compiler error and re-run the last printed line
with -E instead of -c? This would generate the preprocessed output of the
offending file, i.e. the sources the compiler actually sees. If you attach
this to the output to this issue (including the command line to produce
it), it might give some clue what's going wrong on your side.
