The thing is that the serializer/deserializer do not have special handling
for strings. It just serializes the object with the size specified by the
object header, and reads all of it. I would hate to add a special case for
strings just to mark part of it for MSAN, especially since the
serializer/deserializer is performance critical.
Is there a way to mark a particular function to exempt it from MSAN's
scrutiny?
