That's August 2nd, 2013. The first version of Chrome to ship with Blink was
July 10th(ish) 2013. We were tracking this performance problem many months
before that.
So this performance problem predates the Blink fork.. we were originally
comparing two WebKit browsers with different JS runtimes. I believe that's
still the problem, though if someone can provide evidence that Blink is the
culprit, I'd love to see that evidence!
