They quote John Resig saying Chrome will fix this, back in 2008. Then it's
edited in 2010 saying not to rely on it because it's not going that way
anymore. Another post in 2009 also says not to do it this way. It's funny
that there seemed to be more hope a few years ago. Unfortunately for me,
and many programmers, I have been doing JS for 10 years or so, under this
assumption, and therefore never looked for the "correct" answers posted in
2009+. ( I also never read ECMA - just saw it worked in every browser - as
I mentioned before I doubt many people DO read that thing ) It's odd how
something would not cause an issue for so many years and then in 8th year
or so, I find out I suck. I can't even think of what JS resources were
available back then that taught good standards.
