Seems to be V8, as it happens in node.js too:
```
$ node
key = '42'
'42'
global[key] = "wut";
'wut'
Object.getOwnPropertyNames(global).indexOf(key)
-1
Object.hasOwnProperty(global, key)
false
Object.keys(global).indexOf(key) !== -1
true
Object.getOwnPropertyDescriptor(global, key).value
'wut'
```
