I apologize for the tone, but your responses never seem to stay on
topic and address the point.

For example, your reply here that "Yes, static linking is not a bad
thing, and I explained why it is often desirable with V8" is a straw
man, since I did not say that static linking is a bad thing".

I'll try to avoid rising to it though.  Thanks for your input.
