Excellent. Some comments (from the Linux distro packager's POV): - please mentioned the minimal V8 version this is applicable to (that is buildable with gyp using those instructions) - please try to avoid having users fetch anything else from the internet after the sources have been fetched/downloaded; gclient is acceptable (i.e. fetching from multiple repos via DEPS), but custom solutions like "make dependencies" are more cumbersome because every project does that differently, even V8 and Chromium; standardizing on gclient would be much better.
