Using a spare connector to store the plug would work better if the
opening in the receptacle had an o-ring gasket, if the pin region of the
spare receptacle was filled with silicone grease like the auto makers
use for connectors and lamp bases, and if it was tipped so water doesn't
run in. Otherwise its less protection than the ball cover I'm using.
