This is a response to Fred Coldwell, which i'm posting to the list, just FWIW... went outside to take some measurements today, and here's what i found: 1) both front and rear oval windows are the same: 46" wide, and 15" high. 2) the aft dome section is roughly 45" long (+/- 1") 3) the forward dome section is roughly 48" long (+/- 1") 4) the tongue-jack is centered about 16" forward of the front of the trailer body 5) here's where the tongue modification begins... about 6" forward of the tongue jack is another 'tongue jack' position... a 2" hole for another tongue jack, and then 10.25" forward of this is the center of the coupler, corresponding to the center of the hitch-ball. This would indicate that the original hitch coupler was replaced, and the tongue extended by about 6"... therefore, my 20' Clipper was probably a 19-footer, originally... 5) moving from back to front, the main body sections consist of two 31.75" segments; a 4.25" segment to the rear of the doorframe; the doorframe segment is 27.25" wide; then a 14.5" segment between the doorframe and the forward dome, which as previously noted, is about 48" long... Therefore, the body would be 45" + 31.75" + 31.75" + 4.25" + 27.25" + 14.5" + 48" = 16', 10.5" with the modified tongue length of 16" to the tongue-jack, and another 16.25" to the hitch ball, that brings the overall length to 19', 6.75" Tuna '49 Clipper wbcci #8862, VAC To unsubscribe or to change to a daily Digest, please go to http://www.airstream.net/vaclist/listoffice.html If replying back to this message, please delete all the unnecessary original text from your reply.
