If you have good quality tanks in good shape, best bet is to have a propane dealer or 
RV place that does propane work install new OPD valves. They run $39 ea at a local 
rental yard here in overpriced California.  Otherwise, the "inexpensive" (cheap 
imported painted quick to rust steel) ones at WalMart & camping places will do fine 
until you can afford real tanks ;>)

I think a Bambi deserves 20# Aluminum tanks ($125 at airstreamdreams.com), don't you?
