I don't know if it's practical, but you might consider putting in a sheet of
clear or smoke colored Lexan, and if you open the curtains, you'd be able to
see through the trailer while driving.   This would have the drawback of
eliminating or reducing the effectiveness of the covers when used as an
awning, however.
