Due to recent 'market fluctuations', it appears that the 'Trailwind 2001' renovation/innovation project needs to be scaled back a bit. No Henschen Dura-Torque, no aluminum ladder-frame. As a result, i've come to the conclusion that what's called for in this situation is something more along the lines of a true 'restoration'. That is to say, I'll be fabricating new aluminum sheet-metal 'I-beams' for the cross members, using the original pipe, using the original 'truck', and using the original fastening system. This does not mean that I have to 'Leave Well-Enough Alone', ALtogether... Stay tuned for some possibly interesting innovations and improvements. One which occurred to me yesterday is the use of removeable bulkheads - adjustable on the 'x' and 'y' axes so that they may be 'press-fit' into position providing additional structural support for the shell (see attached jpeg). With some additional cross-members, I think i can still manage to put the Jacuzzi up front, though... Toby, I'll take you up on that offer, and get that website up...
