Perhaps the axle is not as wide as it could be, to help facilitate tire
removal in case of a flat. Compaired to some trailers my Overlander seems to
have an axle that is about 8" narrower than it could be. If it were any
wider there would be no way I could change the tire on the side of the road
due to the tire hitting the "wheel skirt".
