I am of the "still with character" school and have lots of patina on my AS 
and plan to keep it that way - it matches mine ! :o)  I do admire the shiney 
ones, just as I admire Martha Stewart's houses, but neither fits my 
lifestyle. I won't win any prizes for elegance, but that is not why I bought 
the AS.
