Wayne:

   Those old horizontal propane tanks were also used on many
old truck campers built in the 1950's, so they are another
good source for perhaps finding one in a junk yard.  There
were many more of those old campers built than old Airstream
or Boles Aero trailers, so do not limit your search to old
trailers abandoned on the wayside.  Check out old truck
campers, too.
