Hi there,

a few days ago I started to use Vagrant for developing Java applications. I
want to use is with VirtualBox on a Windows 7 host. I recognized, that the
build process of the application was very slow and also the startup. It is
a complex Tomcat abbplication. When moving the development files to a
folder in the vm everything works fine. So I began to look for a reason and
found many posts, that the i/o performance of a shared folder is very slow,
and a solution on Linux hosts can be to switch to NFS instead of the normal
shared folder.
But what can I do on Windows? Is there anybody who develops complex
application on Windows, uses Vagrant and use the shared folder approach?

I like Vagrant and hope that there is a solution, so that I can use it for
a productive development.

Best regards

Robin
