Robin, Do you build the webapp in the VM? One way to speed things up (more or less) would be pull the war from a Nexus repository.
Either way, would you mind posting your Vagrant file (or private mail)? I have been trying to get Vagrant working in my team but I simply haven't had the time to follow up on it.
