I was getting this issue as well -- and I did install vagrant-vbguest but
it updates the box every time I vagrant up... so it's just adding to the
load time. There should be a way to fix this: are the Vagrant boxes out of
date? Im getting mine from the official vagrant repo
http://files.vagrantup.com and I just did a fresh base box and still get
the guest addition version 4.2.0 and virtual box edition 4.3.

I guess i'll just ignore the issue for now as vbguest seems like bandaid,
and a bad one at that.
