I've no idea what they're using yet. They didn't say much at the town
meeting, only that they were putting money in the budget for "software
upgrades".
I've seen NEMRC before too. You don't suppose that could work under Wine,
do you?
I can see where it wouldn't care about what kind of server the mapped drive
is hosted by. As long as it's got a drive letter and works like a drive, I
imagine it could be pretty much anything.

Are they NEMRC users? I've snuck a Samba server in under NEMRC before
and it works fine, and NEMRC even is OK with it.
The NEMRC client, unfortunately, is Foxpro based and thus Windows
only :(

I just sent you my info to add me as well.
On a related note, I learned at town meeting yesterday that Worcester is
looking to spend money on software this year. I'd like to contact them
with an offer to demonstrate that FOSS can be used to do anything
they're doing now with proprietary software. I would, however, almost
certainly need some backup on that, as Desktop Linux hasn't been my
real area of expertise (although I did get my Dell Inspiron 1100 onto
Ubuntu finally...).
Thoughts?
