Hey Paul! Thanks for the reply. 1st: your https link to your gin.sh is borked, it should read http:// Doing a c/p on the gin.py code from FF into an xterm resulted in getting quotes-n-all correctly, whereas a c/p from the wiki page still mucks up the special chars. So, tentatively, I'm concluding that FF is interpreting the mime types and rendering an html file differently from say, a .txt or file; or what was produced by "Generated by GNU enscript 1.6.4."
I dont think it local to my WM, or the xterm, but i'll investigate more.
Thanks,
Rion
P.S.
The commentary in gin.py is eclecticly colorful, but i've seen some examples of
people's whose code is truly remarkable; ranging from rap/rhyme to concrete
(ala alan watts or ferlingette (sp))
Plays havoc on the variables for those trying to follow along, but reads like
the poetry it is!
Something like:
notYourThing = theResult = 0; //thing
myThing = 1; //embrace the zen
youGetTheResults = callcomplaints( yourProblem );
if( theResult == notYourThing ) then { complainsomemore() || try(myThing) ; }
else { bringiton(toTheLimit); }
but much more creative! If i remember or find this kind of code, I'll send it
your way
Rion
