LAN/Systems Administrator, Flexible Location
POSITION: 100% Position, 52 weeks/year
This position may be based in one of our CCV locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Technology Officer:
provide systems administration and support for college networks. Build and
maintain assigned servers, applications, and processes. Identify and develop
data solutions to organizational needs. Provide training and support to college
staff and other college users as assigned. Investigate emerging technologies
and their functionality to organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical program with two to four years experience in systems administration, or a commensurate combination of education and experience required. Previous experience in Windows server 2003, Linux server environments, Exchange 2007 or programming desirable. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrate abilities in troubleshooting and documentation. Must be able to work collaboratively in an Information Technology
team environment.
COMPENSATION: Within the Vermont State Colleges Grade 12 range, plus approved
benefits as described in the VSC Personnel Handbook for Administrators.
