Dear Kevin,
Via a putty session (ew..w..:^) you got limited options since you cannot
display remote X-sessions. I would recommend the following:
1. Either VIM(VI) or EMACS (Either case requires religious training)
2. Reformating the system you are ssh'in in from with Ubuntu
3. Booting off a Ubuntu Disk, ssh -X and remote gedit x term
4. Pre-frontal lobotomy
5. Alchol or drugs
These later options should only be considered if you must continue to ssh
in using putty.
Regards,
Flint

Subject: Ubunto editor
Hi All,
What's everyone use for editing in ubunto?
I've always used vi in the past.
I'm having some issues using vi on ubunto 8.10 via a putty ssh session.
Though maybe I'd give another editor a shot?
Tks,
Kevin
